The racial makeup of the county was 96.72% [[Race (U.S. census)|White]], 1.59% [[Race (U.S. census)|Black]] or [[Race (U.S. census)|African American]], 0.18% [[Race (U.S. census)|Native American]], 0.22% [[Race (U.S. census)|Asian]], 0.25% from [[race (U.S. census)|other races]], and 1.04% from two or more races. 1.04% of the population were [[Race (U.S. census)|Hispanic]] or [[Race (U.S. census)|Latino]] of any race.
